(PPEC). A nurse staffed day care is a blessing for those parents and grandparents who have to juggle work with caring for a child with medical or health special needs. Cost is usually covered by Medicare/Medicaid/insurance. The transport and that cost is also free. The entire staff are medical people: RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s and the like. #thekidzclub #kidsneedkiwanis.

A key point is teaching beliefs and values and how that links with responsibilities and accountability. What makes you happy? What gives you fulfillment?

Dana is with the Managed Medical Assistance team which deals with mental health issues and includes clinical provider training. The training is intense and qualifies for continuing education credits for nurses and therapists. Not to forget, Dana brought along Daniel Buonanducci to help out. #sunhealthfl

They run the Aging and Disability Resource Center. Their mission is to aid and assist seniors, trying to keep them in their own home. They also work with caregivers on a variety of issues. July 26, 2019  Sunshine City Kiwanis meeting with Ted Ricca, private security professional who is currently with Bayfront Medical training their personnel for emergency situations. Assessing the emergency is important because safety of the first responder is paramount. Ted walked us through current CPR methods and debunked several misunderstandings.

July 12, 2019  Sunshine City Kiwanis meeting with Chelsea Favero from Forward Pinellas, a county agency that deals with area planning and development. The master plan is called Advantage Pinellas. So future projects are planned looking forward about 20 years. Money to be spent by the county is prioritized.
